Women and Child Welfare Project has been started in 1983 in Nanded
District. Under this project different facilities have been provided to
children (0 to 6 years) and pregnant women. 11 Anganwadi centres have been
added to the 100 previous centres in 1996.
The following

Education
Special care is taken with regard to malnourished children.
Regular weighing of infants & children is done for early detection of
malnutrition. Calories as specified by the Government are provided in the
supplementary nutrition.
